Set in a beautiful valley near Penticton, St. Andrews By The Lake is unlike any other golf course in the South Okanagan. The landscape unfolds across rolling hills, hidden valleys, sun-drenched plateaus and dramatic ravines, with towering pines, sagebrush, juniper and native Okanagan wildflowers adding to the natural beauty.
At the heart of the course, which opened in 1978, lies a peaceful semi-arid lake framed by mature weeping willows. Birds and wildlife are frequent visitors, making the surroundings as memorable as the golf itself.
The historic Oliver Trail once passed through this land — another layer in the story of a place that has been part of the South Okanagan landscape for generations.

Our mature 9-hole course offers an enjoyable challenge for experienced golfers while remaining approachable for newer players. Thoughtful elevation changes, water, mature trees and varied terrain make every hole a little different.
One of the course’s signature features is the island green, reached by a stone bridge inspired by the iconic Swilcan Bridge at St Andrews in Scotland.
Before or after your round, stop in at the Painted Turtle Bistro in the clubhouse for lunch, a cold drink or a relaxing meal on the lakeside patio.
OUR HISTORY
The story of St. Andrews By The Lake stretches back to the 1800s, when the Prather family settled on the land. In later years, the property became a dude ranch known as Ranch 86, adding another chapter to its South Okanagan history.
In 1960, Vancouver businessman Robert Whitman Porter purchased the 560-acre property and began landscaping the land and developing
his vision for St. Andrews By The Lake.
St. Andrews Golf Course opened in 1978, welcoming both the public and local homeowners — and beginning the golf tradition that continues here today.
